lyrics
Bygones be bygones
So, so long to all of your sin
Pull my teeth
I just stopped fucking listening
Now I hate everything here
Never call any place my home
I just rent the earth
Nothing is my own
Eat, drink, shit, piss, breathe, choke
Killed my youth
Kill my life
I'm a sacrifice
And I know that I'm not alone
every second I'm alive I am waving good bye
Day and night we suffer the agony
And we're losing the fight
While pinching pennies
You know I am right
We're all so fucking weak
And we can't change a god damned thing cause we are nothing
Earn your keep and they'll keep what you earn
If you try to change the world, the world will change you, mock you, mold you and
laugh while it's fucking you
We stay alone
suddenly I'm wide awake and you can’t stop me while I drink the full half
We stay alone
and selfishly I pull away cause what I need now is a knife run across my neck
I’ve been devoted, devoured, depressed, and ingested
And contemplate slitting throats with good intentions
But I keep holding the hand that beats me
A loveless romance
A tribulation
Day and fucking night we suffer the agony
And we're losing the fight
While pinching pennies
Unless we’re dead
We’ll be working towards the end
Just like my dad did, and his dad did, until we're all slain
You rich little fuck
Silver spoon sucking mother fucker
These kings without a crowns
They haven't earned a fucking thing, except for me
The innocent will lie down without me
bygones be bygones
so, so long
We stay alone
suddenly I'm wide awake and you can’t stop me while I drink the full half
We stay alone
and selfishly I pull away cause what I need now is a knife run across my neck
now, with all your hate and callous skin
You cannot stop your foes from winning
Drink the full half of the glass
And embrace a life not worth living
not even worth living
Midwestern prog-metal stalwarts go for the throat on their new EP, featuring a roiling cover of the Smashing Pumpkins' “1979.” Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 7, 2019
I don’t usually go out much for metalcore/deathcore but this album would easily make my shortlist. Emotionally captivating with great storytelling and an overall solid musical performance. 7/10 RJ
